How can I reply with my Throttle address to a message in my reading list?

I need to reply to a message, but I want to maintain the privacy Throttle affords me and not reveal my "real" email address. How can I reply with my Throttle address?

Hello M,

We don't currently have the functionality to allow you to reply directly from the website using your Throttle address. However, I can offer another option to accomplish this!

Assuming you use Gmail:

  1. Sign in to your Google Apps email. (Gmail account, in other words).
  2. Click the in the upper-right and select Settings along the top of any page, and select the Accounts and Import tab.
  3. Under Send mail as, click Add another email address.
  4. In the Email address field, enter your name and alternate email address.
  5. Click Next Step >> and then click Send Verification. Gmail will send a verification message to your other email address to confirm that you own it.
  6. Locate the message in your Throttle Reading List. Open it and either click the link contained in the message, or enter the confirmation code in the Accounts section of your Google Apps email settings.

I hope this helps! If not, I'll work with you to come up with another solution.

Have a good one,

Thank you Josh, that's helpful.

I just tried your solution and I am stuck on the step where Google asks for the SMTP server information. Any information on what to put in these fields?

This is not helpful. It's a clunky work-around to a feature that Throttle should have (Abine Blur does). The instructions aren't even complete. As David pointed out 8 MONTHS ago, GMail requires the Throttle SMTP server settings (server, port, username, password & TLS or SSL security). What do we use for those settings?

@ It will be great if Throttle provide this support as inbuilt functionality, If we have generated multiple email address for different site, we need to add or change email address every time when we need to send the mail according to the current temporary email

I am planning to switch from 'Blur' to Throttle because of digest and group functionality but if I am not able to reply I need to be careful with the email which I switch.
